Re: IRQ shared by USB
Modern PCs no longer allow you to change the IRQ manually. The only way I know to do this is try moving PCIe slots, or sometimes disabling a device, and then re-enabling it will give it another IRQ, but not always. Its not a deal breaker if the IRQ is shared, because it all depends on what is sharin...

Re: IRQ shared by USB
I'm surprised MS let you install Win11 on an older machine (dual core cpu)? They must be loosing up the specs.
Try moving the FireWire card into a different slot (doesn't matter if the slot is a longer x16 PCIe slot)?
Usually a different slot will give you a different IRQ

Re: Dell XPS Crashing Again Texas Instruments Firewire Card
I just cant put my finger on why some PCs never work, some PCs work but seem to fail after a Microsoft update. I keep my PC fully up to date under Win11 I originally upgraded Win7SP1 ultimate to Win10 x64 Pro to Win11 Pro years ago. I do know that some settings are carried over as you upgrade as opp...

Re: Predictable BSOD on save
Your PC appears to be similar to my own. I have a Ryzen 7, 32gb ram, 2tb M.2, Win11 Pro, I use only physical Ethernet (no Wi-Fi to the PC) and only Win Defender for virus protection. Your Motherboard is probably running the same or similar AMD chipset on the motherboard (a B550 for something close) ...

Re: Predictable BSOD on save
I have seen that before during the Win7 days when some PCs or FireWire cards just could not handle the higher speeds. So I am assuming you have a newer PC with more than 4 CPU cores? And you have gone into the BIOS and turned off all power saving and CPU throttling features? and windows power option...

Re: Fire Wire 1394
There are no USB to FireWire adapters manufactured that run at the full 400mbps, so your left with either PCIe FireWire or a Thunderbolt to FireWire adapter. I have videos on YouTube where I connect a modern mini-PC and modern laptop, internal M.2 slots, to a PCIe adapter cable, and just use either ...

Make sure that the radio is Stopped before you try changing the Sample rate. But if it was stopped and still crashing, then go into the database folder and remove or move all 5 database files (with your radios serial# in the file name) It should then at least default to 96khz SR, then see if you can...

Re: Is Thunderbolt necessary at the computer end?
Thunderbolt used to have its own connector, but it didnt gain traction in the market place (apple was about the only one using it). So when the USB-C connector came out, Intel decided to merge Thunderbolt3 hardware/software with the USB-C connector and USB hardware/software. So all USB-C ports suppo...

Re: Dell XPS Crashing Again Texas Instruments Firewire Card
From the crash data, your running Win10? And it says your running the 1394 Legacy driver? I have noticed that some cards crash with Legacy driver, and some the "Legacy" fixes them. So if you just changed cards, you may want to try all available drivers This also assumes that the IRQ for th...

Re: Predictable BSOD on save
You can just screen shot it here.
Also, I am curious if you set the Setup->Audio->Primary-> to 48000khz, does it stop the crashes?
or if you go into the Flexradio.exe program and set the operation mode to "Safe Mode", does that help any?

If you get a chance, in windows search type "View Reliability History"
run the app.
It logs all crashes (by date).
If its crashing when you touch the start/stop button in PowerSDR, I would like to see which app or driver is causing it?

Re: Predictable BSOD on save
If you already tried increasing the PFN Crash delay value, then you may want to try a FireWire card with a Chip from a different vendor (TI vs VIA) I found TI chip was stable on my Win11 install, but others had to use a VIA chip. With Win10 you could run the Legacy FireWire driver, unfortunately Win...

Re: CW skimmer strange with PowerRX2 Topic is solved
RX2 VFOB is just like the OmniRig PowerRX2
Its only for a Flex-5000 with the 2nd receiver (RX2)
Its so you can run a 3rd party program like WSJT-X or FLDIGI or CW Skimmer on the 2nd receiver only (RX2 has its own SPLIT now)

Re: CW skimmer strange with PowerRX2 Topic is solved
Correct the DX station moves up if you click up which is annoying. BUT If you hit the "END" key on the keyboard, it will move everything back down to the bottom of the screen I am going to modify PowerSDR code to automatically send a "END" key press to CW Skimmer. But it would be...

Re: CW skimmer strange with PowerRX2 Topic is solved
Found your issue! Your OmniRig is set incorrectly. You have the Rig Type = PowerRX2 When you mentioned PowerRX2, I had no idea you were talking about "OmniRig" PowerRX2 is only for the Flex-5000 when using RX2 Set the Rig type to "PowerSDR" And use "RX<A, TX>B" And you ...

Re: CW skimmer strange with PowerRX2 Topic is solved
I fixed an issue where the RX<A, TX>B CAT port doesn't open at startup unless you cycle the "ON" checkbox
So go and download .311 over again and install 2 times. Select REPAIR the 2nd time to update
Now the Cat port will automatically open at startup.

Re: CW skimmer strange with PowerRX2 Topic is solved
Only the "RX2 VFOB" cat port would allow CW Skimmer to display the frequency of VFOB When you use "RX<A, TX>B" cat port, the Frequency Display on CW Skimmer will only display the frequency of VFOA Since your CW Skimmer is displaying VFOB frequency, CW Skimmer is not paired with C...

Re: CW skimmer strange with PowerRX2 Topic is solved
I created version .311 It adds a new CAT port "RX<A, TX>B", so set "RX2 VFOB" Cat port to NONE, and put the CAT port your using in to "RX<A, TX>B" instead. In CW Skimmer when you click on a 599 it keeps the Receive DX frequency the same, but moves your VFOB SPLIT transm...

Re: CW skimmer strange with PowerRX2 Topic is solved
"RX2 VFOB" CAT port was designed for RX2 only, it was never intended for being used the first receiver. CW Skimmer puts the frequency display of VFOB over the IQ visual signals of VAC1 which is tied to VFOA So what you see in CW skimmer will never match up with the frequency its displaying...

Re: CW skimmer strange with PowerRX2 Topic is solved
The issue is VAC1 is IQ is the VFOA panadapter, but RX2 VFOB CAT is displaying the VFOB frequency, so they dont match
I need to add another CAT option to allow RX from VFOA and TX from VFOB
