Re: Updating from v2.8.0.194 to v2.8.0.306
If you are currently running .194, you can just install the .306 However.... New features added to PowerSDR since .194, may cause your database file to become corrupted after the upgrade to .306 So, I suggest you do a setup->export database before performing any upgrade. So if you find a problem, yo...

Re: FireWire via mini-PCIe slot
glad you got it working. I still wonder if it was the TI chip on the card, or the card itself that was bad, or maybe even the adapter cable? I have also found that China does copy chips and passes them off as authentic, so TI chips may not be real TI chips. But its impossible to prove unless you can...

Yes you can go ahead and post your DOC on the forum.
You can either extract the contents of the DOC file directly to the forum, or post just the doc file.

Re: Powersdr (flex3000)+ Dxlog +MMtty
Historically RTTY logged frequency is supposed to be whatever the frequency of the "Mark" is. So the CAT RTTY offset and Click Tune Offset features are there for those who what to follow that guide. The 2125hz offset was really just because (back in the day) you needed an external hardware...

Re: Powersdr (flex3000)+ Dxlog +MMtty
I just tried it an it worked correctly (transmit and receive): Note: Your RTTY program may have an offset built in. If that is the case its best to 0hz it out and let PowerSDR send the correct offset. I clicked on the Mark (where you see the "DX Spot" W7RN ) My VFO reads 7.063.020 (which i...

Re: FireWire via mini-PCIe slot
If you cannot run PowerSDR in demo mode with errors, I would stop and solve that before anything. You should not be having errors of any kind. You need to make sure that if you open the windows control panel SOUND app, you need to see at least 1 playback and 1 recording device listed as enabled and ...

Re: Powersdr (flex3000)+ Dxlog +MMtty
Correct. It should read 2125hz down from your VFO freq. Your reported RTTY frequency is supposed to be the frequency of the "Mark" (of the 2 Mark and Space signals). Mark is the signal peak that is closest to the 0hz line. Basically you click on the "mark" signal and your VFO and...

Re: FireWire via mini-PCIe slot
I have never seen a card that was not detected. Almost always, the card is detected, but PowerSDR will either crash your PC or act strange (like asking for a Flexradio Bios update) Can you run PowerSDR in Demo mode? When you have the FireWire cable installed between your radio and the card, and the ...

Re: Powersdr (flex3000)+ Dxlog +MMtty
I finally figured out how to properly set the DIGITAL mode on PowerSDR: (This example would also work for all the other digital modes and SSTV) When using the DIGU or DIGL modes, go to Setup->General->Options->Click Tune / Filter Offsets This allows you to set your Offset to the "MARK" sig...

Re: Powersdr (flex3000)+ Dxlog +MMtty
I have never used DXLOG, but I have used MMTTY. Most PC digital mode programs allow either CAT port, or a direct Serial Port to TX/RX, but not MMTTY. (that requires using VsgMgr to create port pairs) For MMTTY... Options->TX->TX Port->Sound (this means you need to use the VOX capability in PowerSDR)...

Re: Deleted profile got a error box powersdr will not start
It looks like the profile that PowerSDR is trying to load is using a VAC device (either Playback or recording) that is no longer present on your PC. Did you unplug anything (like a headphone or mic)? For example: If you had a USB headphone/mic (Headset) selected in PowerSDR as the VAC input/output d...

Re: Audio IN/OUT using VoiceMeeter
I downloaded Voicemeeter "Banana", maybe you downloaded something other than Banana? With Banana, they give a separate names (in and out) to each end of 2 different virtual audio cables. (The main, and "AUX" audio cables) Many virtual audio drivers only show 1 name for both ends ...

Re: calibration shuts down computer
Sounds like the FireWire is having troubles? If the FireWire card is currently using the default driver, you may try installing and selecting the Legacy driver.
I have the link in the FireWire section (left side quick link) of my website.

Re: waterfall
If rebooting your PC and cycling power to your radio doesnt work, you can take a look at the setup->Display->Waterfall settings to see if something got messed up. Last resort would be to do a setup->factory defaults and start over. Or do a setup->import database (if you made a backup of your databas...

Re: Controling a remote Switch
Under Setup->CAT Control, I have added "CX-AUTO" Coax switch (COM port CI-V link). I also added the HyGain "Rotor controller" interface. I think the RCS-10 has a discrete coax selection terminals on the back of the remote control box? Not sure? Maybe DDUtil, OR DDUtil & Flexw...

Re: TURF update Topic is solved
It works. If you can not get to the hidden screen, you must have PowerSDR in "Focus" before hitting the keyboard. If you changed your TURF, but dont see the change, you must cycle power on your 13.8vdc supply to see the update. Then when you re-launch PowerSDR, do a Setup->General->Options...

NOAA weather radio with the VU5K module
Using my 2m/70cm Dual band vertical ant, I am able to listen to local NOAA Weather radio channels (5K FM), using the VU5K module in my Flex-5000. The VU5K was clearly not designed to receive outside the standard 2m/70cm ham bands. It receives up to the NOAA weather channels at 162Mhz, but the receiv...

How to set TURF for your Country, and MARS
TURF is the country in which you are licensed. Changing the TURF of your Radio will allow you to Transmit on bands allowed by your Country. MARS allows the radio to transmit outside the normal TURF allows bands. You need to be licensed to transmit outside the standard HAM license for your Country. T...
