Re: "Out of Band" below VFO Frequency
Here's a pic. I've tried changing bands and scanning around within bands, but 'Out of Band' persists. Otherwise all is working well (as usual).

"Out of Band" below VFO Frequency
Hello all: Yesterday when I fired up PowerSDR )(with my Flex-1500), it complained that the database was corrupted. I let it load the last good copy, and all seems fine except the band indicator below the VFO frequency always (at least for all bands/freqs I've tried) now indicates "Out of Band&q...

Re: My QTH on the World Map?
With some more looking, I found this setting in the lower right corner of the 'Spotter' dialog just before 'Your Call Sign'

My QTH on the World Map?
This should be easy. My PowerSDR database got corrupted and I had to do a factory reset. I then resaved all my custom params, and got everything working again. But, when I run VOACAP the contours are centered at 0,0.
Where do I specify my own location in PowerSDR?
Thanks,
Phil

Re: External Amplifier Band Control over CAT
WSJT-X was indeed set to 57,600, but changing that to match the 19,200 I have in PowerSDR did not solve the problem. I tried restarting PowerSDR and WSJT-X after the change, but got the same results. I'm wondering what's supposed to be happening under the sheets when I initiate a band change from WS...

Re: External Amplifier Band Control over CAT
Darrin: Thanks for this, I have progress to report. As a simple test, your F-command works reliably when sent from Putty to the Hardrock. Moving on to the case of interest with PowerSDR, I had only two CAT entries: WSJT-X as the middle entry on com port 16, and HR50 as the last entry on COM3. When I...

Re: External Amplifier Band Control over CAT
Darrin asks: >>Is your HR-50 polling the com port? I don't know--I had assumed it was using a UART and an ISR, but I really don't know. >>What is the string your trying to use? All the strings that I tried via Putty from the HR-50 Operating Instructions manual seemed to work. For example: HRBN7; cha...

External Amplifier Band Control over CAT
Hello: I recently decided that I wanted to control my HR-50 amplifier band selection over CAT from PowerSDR. Before trying this from PowerSDR, I installed the FTDI drivers on COM3 and verified that I could control the band changes and generally bidirectionally interact w/the HR50 using Putty. Then (...

Graphics Card/Processor Question
Hi: I recently upgraded from an aging dual-core Athlon machine on which I could (just barely) run PowerSDR (in the background, with the panadapter off), WSJT-X, and Gridtracker with my Flex-1500. My new Intel NUC8i5BEK runs all these, with the panadapter on, at about 25% CPU load, with no problems s...

Re: Band data desired of FlexWire
Thanks Darrin:
With the Arduino, I can only really monitor/process a single I2C address, so I'm just going to go w/the band ID on 0x46 for now--that's the main capability that I wanted.

Re: Band data desired of FlexWire
Excellent: I tried the 0x46 address and it worked--I see unique arguments come through for all bands. Unfortunately, on this address, I don't seem to get other amplifier control info of interest (e.g. on/off). I'm currently looking into programming the Arduino to respond to multiple I2C addresses, a...

Band data desired of FlexWire
Hello: I built an interface w/an 'ItsyBitsy' Arduino that reads the band data that comes over the FlexWire. My intention was to send that band ID on to an amp via a RS-232 serial CAT command. Unfortunately, I had not realized that the current FlexWire 'band word' globs some bands together (e.g. 15/1...
