If the TX EQ is ON when you hit the Voice keyer button, it will turn off during playback, but it automatically turn back on when its done.
There is nothing you need to do.

Re: PAN Mode
My original PAN mode has limitations You need to be zoomed out (at least x1) for it to work properly. I have a new version that allows you to go edge to edge of the display at up to 192khz sample rate. go download https://ke9ns.com/PowerSDR_KE9NS_V2.8.0.284_Incremental_Installer.msi I am not totally...

Re: Band change protection when trasmitting
I just make an update to .283 Now the VFO LOCK functions as follows: ZZVL0 = Unlock VFO A and B ZZVL1 = Lock VFO A if you Check Setup->General->Options->VFO Lock A/B, then you get 2 more valid options: ZZVL2 = Lock VFO B ZZVL3 = Lock VFO A and B and I also fixed 2 issues where the non-ham bands were...

Re: Band change protection when trasmitting
Your correct, nothing blocks band change CAT commands during TX. This is the Safety Feature I added to PowerSDR and use: Check Setup->General->Options->Flex Amp PTT control and IIC FlexWire AMP control Check Setup->General->Options->IIC FlexWire AMP ON/OFF 2 new buttons appear just above the STOP/ST...

Re: CW side tone volume adjustment and other issues.
I have had many people email me about strange behavior and find later its some other PC program sending CAT commands. I have a hidden CAT Command monitor screen (found on the Setup->CAT Control page). Right click over the CAT TCP "ON" checkbox to open the monitor It displays all CAT comman...

Re: CW side tone volume adjustment and other issues.
If your getting a freeze or hang issue, its related to DPC latency. There is free software to test your computer for DPC latency. Newer computers with more CPU cores or threads usually dont have this issue. (You can search DPC latency on my webpage.) Crashing (PFN crash) is usually related to FireWi...

Re: v2.8.0.280 crashes when trying to spot a station to cluster
Never seen that before. My guess is that the socket (Connection) to the particular cluster URL closed on you without you knowing it? But not sure. What is the cluster URL your using? Have you tried a different cluster? Sometimes the cluster can shut down the connection without letting windows know a...

I would go into the database folder: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\FlexRadio Systems\PowerSDR v2.8.0\ and delete all 5 database files with your radios serial# in the file name. Also remove ke9ns8.dat then go into folder: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\FlexRadio Systems\ and remove the ATUdatabase.xml...

Then follow the instructions found just below the GREEN incremental download button on my webpage.
That is uninstall, then manually wipe out all the folders.
Then install the the Full and incremental over again.

Re: Issue after upgrading to v2.8.0.280
I never used that Transfer software so I cannot say. But I try to make changes to the database "automatic" to avoid the need for a transfer. So I just uploaded .281 This should now automatically update your existing database with the new TXprofile save items: Vac1 selectA-B, Vac1 mix, Vac1...

Re: No out of band audio from VAC?
Make sure to make a setup->export database as a backup. Its definitely a radio Firmware modification to allow TX on 8m (if it ever was authorized by the FCC). But Flex will probably never update the firmware since the radio was never certified for 8m (i.e. missing a real LPF) Neither the 3000 or 500...

Re: No out of band audio from VAC?
The VAC should not be related to frequency. Check all the receiver settings since your leaving the 10m band and there is no 8m band? My Flex-5000 is working fine Receiving 8m (comparing its receive to my SDRplay RSP1A) and its sending VAC1 audio to WSJT-X. NOTE The Flex will not transmit between 10m...

Re: Issue after upgrading to v2.8.0.280
Importing your old database will cancel the new database. If you have a file compare program, you can compare a factory defaults (.280) database, and your backup database. Then when you see a "VAC1_SelectA" you would copy that line and the next 4 lines (down to and including "Drive_Ma...

Re: Issue after upgrading to v2.8.0.280
The Install 2 times is only when I do an update with the same version number. TXProfile additions require that you do a setup->factory defaults as your starting point. Older databases dont have the new references. But note that even with a new database, saving 2 profiles with different DSP or VAC1 s...

Re: No waterfall after update to 2.8.0.280
I have had that happen to me in the past on my old laptop, but never on my Desktop. Its not PowerSDR itself causing the issue. Usually it clears itself after cycling power to both the PC and the Radio. You can also check for IRQ conflicts (for a 3000 or 5000) per my webpage. You can do a setup->fact...

Re: FIREWIRE problem and software block at 192 Khz
I have seen FireWire cards that appear to be working but they are having troubles properly functioning. It has more to do with the older FireWire chipsets, and IRQ conflict issues on older motherboards (motherboards with chipsets older than around 10 years). The newer PCIexpress chipsets usually pla...

I cannot get pa1rbz.dyndns.org port 9000 to work either. Other clusters work fine, but not this one. I do not know why?

I just looked at the photo you shared. You forgot to put your Call Sign in the Call sign box (lower right corner of the spotter window) You should also put in your LAT and LONG in the 2 boxes next to your call sign. If you use LoTW, right click on the call sign box and put in your LoTW password, the...

To verify that its still connected, click your mouse over the Green "Spotting" text in the "Status of DX Cluster" box. You will see a "Test Sent <CR>" appear in the box If it then changes back to "Spotting", its good, but if it continues to say "Test Sent...

Re: PowerSDR 2.8 crashes with VAC error when starting
Usually that means PowerSDR was saved with the VAC1 running, so at startup it attempts to start VAC1 But a device you had selected to use, is no longer there (i.e you unplugged a USB headset), and so crashes. Either put back the missing device, or hold down the SHIFT key while launching PowerSDR to ...
