Flex-3000 "vertical" - Silly question

I have limited space on my station desk.
In your opinion, is there any problem keeping the Flex-3000 in a vertical position?
I have never opened it and I wonder if this could cause problems with air circulation and the possible stability of internal components.
Thanks in advance

I do have photos of the inside of the flex-3000 in the manuals section of my webpage (towards the top of the webpage).
The only reason not to stand up the unit would be for proper venting during Transmit.
The case has vent holes on the sides, so I think you would want to make sure you dont block the holes on the sides.
If you can stand it up vertical and not block the holes on the bottom, it might work.
BUT.. Watch the temperature as you transmit to make sure you dont get any unexpected temp rise as compared to running it horizontal.

I recommended it to a friend who has the same problem as you, he is very happy with it.
but be careful not to leave the Firewire and antenna cables including the ferrite clips dangling. The firewire port input is very delicate so keep the cables raised
