Make sure that the radio is Stopped before you try changing the Sample rate.

But if it was stopped and still crashing, then go into the database folder and remove or move all 5 database files (with your radios serial# in the file name)
It should then at least default to 96khz SR, then see if you can back it down to 48khz

Database folder: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\FlexRadio Systems\PowerSDR v2.8.0\

But it looks like your motherboard does not like that FireWire card at all.

I returned the TI card This one is a Via and I had it working for about a year with no problems. then it took a dump. I'm wondering another card First going to search for one that says Widows 11 compatible.
Thanks

I can't get it stable with my computer. Thank You For all your help. If by a miracle an older computer comes my way or I find a cheap computer like a Win 7 or better I will be back.

Edited: I had a Brain Fart. I can't put Win 10 or 7 on this computer. There are no drivers.
May be an Older copy of Win 11 and do not update it. It seems that since the latest update a month or two before my first post on this thread, it started to break

I just cant put my finger on why some PCs never work, some PCs work but seem to fail after a Microsoft update.
I keep my PC fully up to date under Win11

I originally upgraded Win7SP1 ultimate to Win10 x64 Pro to Win11 Pro years ago.
I do know that some settings are carried over as you upgrade as opposed to a fresh install.
But Microsoft does override some things they deem a security risk.

The only other thing that might be different is that I have Microsoft "Visual Studio" installed
I actually have Visual Studio 2005, 2008, 2010, 2015, 2017, 2019, and the current 2022 installed
VS 2005 was from the Xbox hacking days
VS 2008 was required for the original PowerSDR C and C# code
But as new VS version came out, I always upgraded 2010,2015, etc, etc.
But I compile PowerSDR under VS 2022 for the last 3 years.

- In previous posts I reported that I could not use WIN10 without getting a BSOD, however, I have been using WIN10 on a PC dedicated to PowerSDR successfully without any BSOD.
What I did:
- I made a change to the hardware of my PC dedicated to PowerSDR by removing part of the RAM memory and reducing it to just 4GB. Why did I do this?: because the error messages were related to incorrect memory allocation. It is known that the original PowerSDR was developed in 32 bits for Windows XP, and this OS only managed 4GB of RAM memory.
- Using the Revo Unistaller program I uninstalled practically all the Windows APPs that were originally installed in a clean installation of Windows 10 PRO (MBR mode, not GPT) leaving only the Calculator, Clock, Winget and the local language pack (Brazilian Portuguese).
- I use a VIA FireWire and there is an IRQ conflict, and I used the MSI_Util_v3.exe program to manipulate the IRQ priorities by setting the VIA FireWire IRQ to HIGH and the conflicting one to LOW.
- I have not had any more BSODs with these hardware and software changes.
- I would like to point out that I use a PC DEDICATED to PowerSDR 2.8.0.311.
- I did the same procedure on an alternative SSD with WIN11 PRO but it was unsuccessful, and I got BSOD.
- In short, I am using WIN10 PRO ("light") with stability on a PC dedicated to PowerSDR with 4GB of memory.

I researched going to Win10 and this new about a year old PC XPS-8960 will not run win 10 since there is no drivers from Dell.
Today, I will try to install it anyway and see if there are Windows default drivers that will install it.
If it will not work then I will reinstall Win 11 and hope for the best.
It is a dedicated computer for PowerSDR.
