Waterfall issue

Post by kf6zok »

I have a issue running KE9NS power SDR on my Flex 5000. the water fall part doesn't work after running the software. It will work after I do a reset, but after several uses it stops working again. I also uninstalled/reinstalled Power SDR to no avail.
Thanks

Update So far after 2 weeks,The KE9NS software has not caused any more issues with the waterfall. I also installed Flex ver 2.7.2 for the first time on this computer. I am wondering by not having the factory software installed had something to do with it.

PowerSDR v2.7.2 and v2.8 share the exact same installer and drivers (given to me by FlexRadio), so there is never a need for v2.7.2 to get v2.8 to work.

When the Panadapter works, but the waterfall is blank, it usually fixes itself with a reboot of the PC and radio, but sometimes a video driver update can cause an issue as well (like when Microsoft does there overnight updates).
