Running wsjt-x under windows 11
Running wsjt-x under windows 11
I have a setup under windows 11 that doesn't work but the exact same setup works under windows 10. It seems I'm not getting any audio through to the wsjt program. When I open the sound mixer under windows 11 it shows a separate slider for wsjt that is set to 0 and it is grayed out and won't let me change it. Does anyone else have this successfully running under windows 11?

I use Win11 with WSJT-X with no issues for a long time.
However, I dont use the new Win11 settings panel for sound. I continue to use the original windows Control Panel->SOUND (I keep a direct link to it on my desktop to save time)
Now you can easily check to see the list of playback and recording devices, and also which ones are the default.

I have my input set as voicemeeter out B1...there is no aux out as in your example. I have the output set to voicemeeter aux in. The signal input to wsjt is pegged at 74 db and I get no signal display on the wide graph. This was working fine under win 10 using vb cable but I got the same results using that so I am at a loss as where to go from here.

My examples use Voicemeeter Banana. Banana breaks the Virtual cable into 2 separate cables you can view from the SOUND program: Voicemeeter and Voicemeeter AUX
The standard Voicemeeter shows up in SOUND as 1 cable called VB-Cable (but its actually 2 cables)
When you select VB-Cable in PowerSDR:
Windows DirectSound
VAC input = Cable Output (VB-Audio...)
VAC output = VB-Cable(VB-Audio...)
In WSJT-X settings:
Input = Cable Output(VB-Audio...)
Output= VB-Cable(VB-Audio...)
I switched over to using VB-Cable and it ran WSJT-X with no issues
So if its not working on your Win11 machine, you might try uninstalling/reinstalling WSJT-X and Voicemeeter?
