Make sure that the radio is Stopped before you try changing the Sample rate.
But if it was stopped and still crashing, then go into the database folder and remove or move all 5 database files (with your radios serial# in the file name)
It should then at least default to 96khz SR, then see if you can back it down to 48khz

But it looks like your motherboard does not like that FireWire card at all.
