On my 5000a the Powersdr power meter says 80-90 watts out. But my external meter says 100+ out. Is that normal? Just got the radio back from having the calibration done.
Thanks

Fwd power meter
Re: Fwd power meter
For what it's worth, my 5000 agrees exactly with my LP100A watt meter. If there is much coax length between the radio and meter, you could see a difference..

Re: Fwd power meter
If your antenna is not naturally resonant to the frequency your on, then any coax separation between meter circuits will show different readings (in both SWR and power). But they should match when your using a 50ohm dummy load. To complicate things further, some meters show power output as NET = Fwd-Ref, instead of just Fwd.
