World Map

Post by ke9ns »

If anyone has a World Map in "Equirectangular" format (i.e. the lines of Latitude are all equal from the North pole down the South pole) with the International date line on the left side of the map. Please send it to me. :)

Jim,

Yes that is definitely Equirectangular.
It appears to be similar to the Spotter map I am currently using. I found one where someone had already put the 15deg Lat/Long lines on the map (I think it was from NOAA), then I tried my best to reduce the snow brightness (to prevent the spots from disappearing in the snow of Greenland and upper Canada, and the Panadapter signal disappearing in the Antarctic). I was hoping to find a map similar to the Geochron map :)

Check out the other map found on the internet and embedded into PowerSDR: Right Click on the "Map" button in PowerSDR. Although this is not Equirectangular and way too busy to display Spots and a Panadapter signal.

Thanks for looking!
