Re: flex 3000 - AM setup looking
AM mode definitely has a totally different setup from SSB in PowerSDR.
I have a great AM setup for TX on my website.
Go to ke9ns.com/flexpage.html
Click on the "eSSB/AM" link on the left side of the screen.
It has all the PowerSDR settings needed for fantastic AM audio.
NOTE: Even though I personally use external EQ audio rack, you can just use built in TXEQ in PowerSDR (The 9 band TX Parametric EQ), to achieve almost the same results.

Hello Darrin,
I was already using your setting for AM, but it's not perfect. That's why I was wondering if anyone with the 3000 was using it for AM. I'll try to work with the 10 band parametric equalizer. Thank you

Re: flex 3000 - AM setup looking
Frank,
OK. Technically I never tried it on a 1500 or 3000, I assumed it would be the same, but I might be wrong.
I have only had fantastic AM audio reports with my setup and my 5000.
Note to Everyone: Make sure your using a Mic with a full audio freq range output. The EQ that is built into PowerSDR wont add highs or lows if the Mic has only mids (like a typical ham radio mic). If your using a Condenser mic, you may need to take out a bunch of lows, since Condenser mics already have a ton of lows and for some reason the AM mode in PowerSDR does not need a lot of lows (unlike the SSB mode).
If you use a Mic connected to your Windows PC, then install "Equalizer APO" (watch youtube on how to set it up)

Re: flex 3000 - AM setup looking
HI:
I operate very frequently in AM, and my configuration, after many attempts and reports from AMER's is:
In the Transmit Profiles menu:
BW TX filter = 0-6000
AM Carrier Level = 50
Driver MAX = 100
Tune Drive = 40
In the DSP Menu - AGC/ALC tab:
Leveler = ON, 20dB, Attack = 1, Decay = 5000, Hang = 2000
ALC = Attack 1, Decay = 1, Hang =10
In PowerSDR MAIN Form
Drive = 19 (about 8.5W PWR output)
CPDR = 5
Mandatory = USE LINER AMPLIFIER (I use Drake L7 which with these parameters I get approximately 160W of carrier and approximately 640 W PEP).
