After upgrading to vs. 185 WSJT-X can't make the flex 3000 transmit. I went back to my saved back up screenshots and checked/reset my wsjt-x configurations and flex radio PowerSDR settings. After a while, went back to version 179 and did a factory reset, then reconfigured both programs to my backed up settings. Still no success.Any ideas on what to check? Flex3000 seems to receiving just fine.
I use DDTUI and VSPmgr with Voicemeter virtual cables on a windows 10 machine (fairly new).
thanks
Dave

Re: Lost Digital Transmit
go to my webpage and click on the Virtual Audio link.
You must setup the audio exactly like my setup shows.
VB IN/OUT is one virtual Cable
VB AUX IN/OUT is the other virtual Cable.
Your audio setup is not correct.

Re: Lost Digital Transmit
So I put all the audio cables and settings exactly as you have yours on your Audio Settings area of your web page. It still won't transmit using wsjt-x (upgraded to 2.2). I am mimicking nearly all your settings for PowerSDR and digital. I'm still not able to transmit using digital. Anything else I might try?

Re: Lost Digital Transmit
I didn't catch this before, but I see you have the PWR slider in WSJT-X way down.
When I put my slider down that low with 15 on the PowerSDR drive (like you have), I get no output either.
I normally leave the PWR slider all the way up. With it all the way up, the ALC and MIC levels are usually at 0db

Re: Lost Digital Transmit
Normally it's up near the top. I just tried some things thinking it may be due to over-driving the signal. Strangely enough, it was able to get 4W out. I saw something about the firewire driver and firewire card on your web site. I wonder if the firewire card is going...

Re: Lost Digital Transmit
Nothing to do with the FireWire. If the FireWire driver had issues, PowerSDR would crash, or and Panadapter on PowerSDR would not function.
If PowerSDR is functioning, then FireWire is good.
Connecting to a PC digital program is strictly confined to Virtual Audio cables (getting the correct IN/OUT configuration), Virtual COM port pairs (getting the correct CAT configuration).
With .185 you no longer need DDUtil for the CAT (unless you have a tuner or Amp that needs communication), so that can simplify things a bit.
Also you may want to try the 2nd TX meter as "Combo" and you will be able to monitor transmit PWR, SWR, ALC and MIC levels at the same time.
That will give you instant feedback on what is transmitting.

Re: Lost Digital Transmit
I've spent a good deal of time trying to change different settings back and forth from your settings on the web page to the ones that I've saved for myself from a while ago. I wonder if you'd be willing to update the screenshots of your settings on the web site. One area that is now a bit confusing to me is how to use VspMGR, if at all and what do do with DDUtil since i dont have a rotor or any peripherals.
For instance, Here's a screen shot of the info about VSP and DDUTil on your page... I'm thinking that you may have changed some items in the settings after a number of revisions and perhaps my set up hasn't kept up.
thanks,
Dave

Re: Lost Digital Transmit
I recently added the ability to multiplex CAT from 5 different sources from within PowerSDR.
So you can remove DDUtil completely.
So one half of each COM port pair now directly ties back to PowerSDR.
I recently updated the "Virtual Serial", and the "Virtual Audio" sections of the webpage to reflect installation of WSJT-X and the current PowerSDR Version, and just added some N1MM configuration info in the "Virtual Serial" section as well.
Make sure to hit the refresh button on your browser in case its not auto refreshing after I make changes. It should now show the WSJT-X config without DDUtil.
But you still need VspMgr or Com0Com to create all the COM port pairs (virtual serial cables).
I prefer VspMgr but you need to run it in Compatibility mode. Others have successfully run Com0Com so I included it.

Re: Lost Digital Transmit
Here's the culprit. Just one change of a setting gave me back my ability to transmit: Changed the driver from MME to Windows DirectSound
