PA Calibration CTRL SHIFT F

Post by Fuddster »

Hello,

I am failing to get RUN PA CAL to on 6M.
All other bands play well.
Looks like it can't make beyonds 60 watts and fails.

I am trying to activate the SWR button.
The online doc says:

9) <CTRL><ALT>S to active the SWR button

Is this an error - this is preseplecor stuff?

Thanks,

W7CPA

The Production PA screen must be in "Focus" for the CTRL + ALT + S to work. Its correct (at least for the 5000).
I have seen individual bands fail.
I assume you started with a "factory defaults" database and did not change any settings before attempting a calibration.
toby@troyradio.net might be able to answer why or what to look for inside the radio.

I believe if a band fails, it will not update the EEPROM, so no harm should be done.

FYI: If you have a backup database, you can import that back into your radio and then you can copy the calibrations from your database to the EEPROM from the hidden CTRL+SHIFT+C screen (with the main console screen in focus)
This has nothing to do with correcting a failed calibration, but will get you back to where you started.
