flex 3000 and v2.8 with BSOD.

Post by w1cjf »

So I have been getting blue screen of death's when A... When you click the stop button to shut down powersdr or when I go to change the transmit filter fhm-1 or if i try to manually go into the TX or RX eq It gathers info and reboots with the sad face haha. I am just trying to figure it out. The pc build isnt even 6 months old, 1900x AMD thread ripper.. 8 cores 16 threads with 32gb of ram and running off a m2 drive.

You have plenty of Horsepower.

Try running in Demo mode and see what happens?
If it works, I would try a setup->factory defaults and see if a new database fixes it?
If the database does not fix it, it could be a FireWire card or driver issue.

I have my Flex-3000 running on an old Toshiba laptop with Win10 x64 Pro ver 20h2. And it appears to run fine.
Although ever since ver 2004 came out some people have reported BSOD just be touching buttons.
Also, if your running any USB devices you may want to unplug them (as a test), other than a mouse and keyboard.

Greetings. I also searched for the cause of the blue screen for the same time, changed the driver and reset it to the factory settings, but nothing helped, the bsod periodically appeared without any regularity. For some time, I still found what affects this behavior, having installed another virtual cable from VB-Audio, I noticed that the bsod was gone, and I began to study this direction further. After studying various documentation of both portaudio and virtual cables from Muzychenko, I found a solution to this problem. In the latest versions of the virtual cable from Muzychenko, by default, the Port class driver port/miniport types setting turns on the WaveRT mode, which works very badly in this case with the audio port. The solution to the bsod problem was the choice of the WaveCyclic mode. So if you use virtual cables from Muzychenko, try changing the settings of your cables (I will attach a screenshot of the settings just in case).
