Hi folks
Settings:
- MacBook Pro (Mid 2015)
- MacOS 12
- Bootcamp
- Windows 10 Home
- Flex 3000
- Power SDR 2.8.0
. VB Cable (VB-Cable Virtual Audio Device)
- Virtual Serial Port Driver (14 day's trial)
- WSJT-X 2.5.4
Reinstalled and everything runs perfectly. One day later I want to do FT8.
Waterfall receives signals but almost nothing is decoded (test with another TRX). Some signals (5%) are decoded.
Searched for a long time, reinstalled everything (MacOS, Bootcamp, Windows 10, drivers, PowerSDR) but nothing helps.
No idea what the problem could be.

Re: Problem: WSJT-X RX
Not exactly sure what is going on, but...
- I have a link on my website to the Free version of VspMgr (its not a trial).
- Either your PC clock is slightly off, or the stations signal you decoded was off by 1 second.
- If you launch PowerSDR in "Admin" mode, you can open the PowerSDR Spotter screen and hit the "Time Sync" button to sync up your PC clock.
If the server is not responding, click on the "Time servers list" and choose another one from the list.
- Open Windows control panel "Sound" and make sure the Sample rate your using for VB-Cable matches the Sample rate your using with VAC1
- Adjust the WJST-X waterfall to show at least 3khz wide and make sure your TX and RX are set to DIGU Low=0Hz and High=3000hz.
I would also adjust the waterfall timing so you can see the 15seconds vertically a little better than you have (between each green horizontal line).
It will make it much easier to see each persons signal.

Hello Darrin
Thanks for the info.
Strangely enough, the problem "solved" itself the next day. In any case, it works again now.
Strange and, at the moment, not so comprehensible. Will keep an eye on this.

Hi Derrin
Today it happend again ...
But this was the solution:
- If you launch PowerSDR in "Admin" mode, you can open the PowerSDR Spotter screen and hit the "Time Sync" button to sync up your PC clock.

Re: Problem: WSJT-X RX
Some how your PC clock is not keeping accurate time.
Windows 10 should be set to automatically sync your clock, but I am not sure how often it does its update, thats why I put one in PowerSDR.
Also if your using Bootcamp for Windows, I run MacFanControl (free) on my Macbook otherwise the fans will run slow and it ends up getting very hot.
Maybe newer Macbooks dont have the fan issue but my old unit definitely needs the MacFanControl when running in Windows
