JT4 or FT4?

Post by W7FZY »

In the band text setting, at 3.574 , 7.080 or 14.080 the label shows FT8. At 3.576 and so on, I believe the FT4 should be called JT4.

True there are both JT4 and FT4 modes, but the new mode Frequencies I added were for FT4 (which is supposed to be the fast new and improved version of FT8). For example FT4 on 40m is 7.047 USB.
JT4 is for UHF EME work I believe.
JT65 was the first modification I made to the band text (just before FT8 came out)
