I have only had my Flex 5000A for just over one week and I am still learning the Power SDR v 2.8.0.130.
For now the only thing that has me baffled is the receive preamp is always on the 10m band, every other band
allows clicking the button to cycle it on and off.
I have looked all through the setup screens and find nothing that will change the condition.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks

10m band, Receive Preamp always on
Re: 10m band, Receive Preamp always on
I was provided the following information by another member on the Flex Community page as the reason and how to change the setting if you desire to make the change.
“Yep. Open the ANT tab. You will find a check box which says "Enable Preamp controls on 6m." I know you said 10m, but just trust me! Check it, and you will get a popup box which explains that having a preamp is required to insure CE compliance above 28 Mhz. It you check it, you can control the preamp on both 10m and 6m.”

Interesting....
I assumed it was forced on because rf gain started to drop off (as the freq increased)?
Just the opposite for 160m (preamp is disabled).
