Recently added a Flex 5000UV to my shack for Satellite and weak signal work. I already have a Flex 6500 with a FlexControl.
Can someone share with me what would be necessary to set up a second FlexControl exclusively for the Flex 5000. Often both radios are operating at one time?
Thank you,
Joe

Re: How do I add a FlexControl for the 5000 with an Flex 6500
Very interesting....
Can you plug the FlexControl directly into the USB port on the back of a 6000 series radio?
If so, then I wonder if that would work (1 for the PC and 1 for the radio itself)?
If not:
Every USB device gets a Unique ID (there is a Serial# field but not everyone uses it)
So if you plug in 2 of the same USB device, windows will (generate a unique number)
But usually when your looking for a USB device, you just looking for any device of a particular type.
When I added code into PowerSDR to look for the PowerMate Knob, i just select the first Griffin PowerMate knob from the list of USB devices.
I would need to add code into PowerSDR to allow you to select which USB device you wanted to communicate with?
Unless SmartSDR is setup to allow you to select a particular FlexControl (when it finds 2 plugged into)?
This is more for my own future reference.. https://www.silabs.com/community/interf ... vicep-aGxD
