I am playing with the latest version of FREEDV, RADE1 on my VU5K. So far RX only, until I learn the ropes. However, I have been experimenting into a dummy load, and am wondering if anyone has some specific recommendaitons for the correct ALC level? TFM does address this after a fashion, mimimum ALC, but I am looking for something PowerSDR-specific. Probably any of the earlier versions will be the same.

Re: FREEDV ALC recommendations?
I have run FreeDV RADE mode a few times. (the FreeDV reporter makes it easy to find someone to talk to)
I run PowerSDR in DIGU mode and treat it as any other digital signal.
I always keep my PowerSDR ALC set to 1,20,170

Thanks. That is close to what I have beenusing. It does work well, though there are relatively few users. Judging by the PSK Reporter, it seems much more popular in Europe and Japan.
