Transverter Power meter

Post by K2GC »

So, I have noticed when i am running on my 2m transverter, the power output meter stays at 0w.

Do I have something set wrong? I have been told the newer flex models allow you to set this up to work properly....

would be nice to have it right!

I have used the VU5K (2m, 70cm option), and the meters work for that, but I have never used a separate XVTR device.
I never looked at the code, but if your referring to the Watt meter of PowerSDR, I am not sure if it works when in the XVTR config?

That is what I am referring to.. using XVTR config.

No rush... but if you could take a look into it at some point...

Looking at an old block diagram of the 5000, its not possible. The built-in power & SWR circuit is on the PA board. The XVTR output is before the PA board. So that leads me to believe the VU5k module must have its own power & SWR detection.
