Old Windows 10 PC gone. Had to reinstall from fresh (Win 11 pro) and the 5000K.I hope my problem is simple. It seems related to the FireWire driver?? Maybe it was the steps I took for the initial install?
Anyway, see the attachment as the new PC will not see the radio at all.

Re: Reinstallation failure
Same PC but different Win OS? Did something happen, or did you just want to go with fresh Win11?
I have found cases where a FireWire card that ran fine after a Windows Upgrade, failed after performing a fresh/clean install.
And ended up having to buy a new card. What is the TI chip# of your card?
On this new Win11 machine: You ran the Orange Full installer first before the Green incremental installer?
When you ran the Orange Full installer, it did not have any install failures (specifically with the Flexradio drivers for FireWire?)

This was the FW card I got https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08339PGM8?ps ... ct_details
I did run the orange install program and it returned with no errors. Do I need to run the green installer too?
This is a completely new PC and OS.

Re: Reinstallation failure
Stopped trying.
After many reboots and re-installs, PowerSDR suddenly loaded normally. But it did not seem to communicate with the 5K. I closed it and tried again. Now a new failure. Each time and every time it says it needs to update the firmware. I said yes to the query and a moment later, nothing or a system crash and once the BSOD.
PowerSDR has now been removed from the system, all folders, and registry cleaned. The 5K may be up for sale soon.

Re: Reinstallation failure
That is definitely a FireWire card or driver issue. I list the TI chip I currently use on my webpage (the FireWire Link on the left side of my webpage) because its still in production. That link also describes using the legacy drivers. If that does not work, I would get a new FireWire card.

I searched eBay. Can you ID the proper card?

Re: Reinstallation failure
Sorry for the reply delay.
Yes as long as you get the same TI chip, the board manufacture is probably not as important.

Re: Reinstallation failure
Great. If you encounter any troubles, check for an IRQ conflict, and you can search my webpage for MSI. There is a special program that can allow you to free up an IRQ by moving newer devices to MSI
