*BUG* .274 Antenna rename w/unexpected relay chatter
*BUG* .274 Antenna rename w/unexpected relay chatter
FB on the latest enhancement bundle!
There is a small bug that I have experienced, While renaming Ant1 works swimmingly, Renaming ANT2 or ANT 3 causes the antenna selection relays to chatter with each character entry. I guess the field is refreshed each time it is changed and the radio rolls through its selection routine.
This is in no way a deal breaker as everything works fine, it's just a little wonky and slightly startling because it's a new unexpected behavior.
There also seems to be a bit more chatter in the relays when selecting 2 or 3, although I may be just a little more aware of the selection routine now..I do not have the selection matrix handy so I can't remember which relays engage for which combo of antenna selections. this extra chatter may be normal.
Oh, and this of course occurs whether DttSP is active or not..
Keep up the good work!

Re: *BUG* .274 Antenna rename w/unexpected relay chatter
I had an issue where it was always going back to ANT1 after a reboot.
So you may want to try and download .274 again and install 2 times. 2nd time select Repair.
I am not getting any relay chatter on my end at all.
Do you have the 2nd receiver option?

Re: *BUG* .274 Antenna rename w/unexpected relay chatter
Okay did a repair and the issue persists.
It may be notable that It occurs when anything other than ANT1 is selected in the "Receiver 1" dropdown. (including N/C)
TX1, RX2 nor TX2 induce this behavior as log as RX1 is set to ANT1..good stuff.

Re: *BUG* .274 Antenna rename w/unexpected relay chatter
Your Flex-5000 is the same config as my Flex-5000 (all options).
So that makes it even stranger.
I am not getting any relay clicking when I change the antenna name, or as I type in the name (I tried all 3 antennas).
I only get the relay click when I change antenna ports (which is correct).
Not sure what is going on?
The only other thing to try would be to do a "factory defaults" and see what happens?

Re: *BUG* .274 Antenna rename w/unexpected relay chatter
Yes, it does if you select ANT2 or ANT3 or NC and type anything in the ANTENNA name box, relays CLICK (I don't know which relay it is). ANT1 relays are silent, with no clicks.
It's not a big problem, after all we are not renaming antennas all the time.

It started to click for me. I improved it a little in .275

It's a pretty unique bug.
I'll grab .275 in a few and check it out again.
good stuff indeed

Re: *BUG* .274 Antenna rename w/unexpected relay chatter
Yep, That modification seems to work just fine.
I can see that it only does the relay refresh only when the field is selected now instead of with every character change.
Guess that is the nature of the beast when you deal with real-time saving of fields like that.
Great job!
