I have been using a FLEX-1500 and KE9NS PowerSDR for a short time. The SDR bug really bit hard and I am awaiting the arrival of a FLEX-3000. Got to have more power!
Is there a process to load the flexwire driver and change the radio in KE9NS PowerSDR or do I have to delete the software and start from the beginning? My computer does not currently have a firewire port so I am expecting the computer to try to load a driver when I install the card.
I know a lot of folks have made the jump from 1500 to 3000 so maybe someone has worked out a shortcut.

Re: Upgrading from FLEX-1500 to FLEX-3000
Lee,
The only thing you need to do is make sure you have a working 1394 FireWire Card in your computer.
When you plug in the 3000 and run it the first time, a new database file (with your new radios own serial number in the file name) will be created with Factory defaults.
You do not need to uninstall or install anything.
When you installed PowerSDR, everything is installed for all 3 models at one time.
