Hi all,
I'm using Windows 10 Pro on both computers. I've enabled Remote Desktop and can see both computers on the Windows Network.
I've setup and can log into the computer connected to the Flex 5000a. Both computers are in the same room and on the same network (for now)
1: If PowerSDR is running before I remote log in EVERYTHING works correctly. I can pass audio to AND from the Flex5000a. I TX by using the Space-Bar
2: If PowerSDR is NOT running when I remote log in and I double click on the icon the make it start; PowerSDR starts to load but crashes at "Initializing PortAudio"
Anyone got any ideas please ?
Thanks
Mick

Re: Remote Desktop Connection
If PowerSDR cannot find at least one Sound Playback and one Sound Recording device available for use, it will crash.
I do remember "Remote Desktop" had some quirks related to audio and also multiple monitors (caused issues)
Have you downloaded and installed VB-Cable, or voicemeeter Banana, or some other Virtual audio cable(s)?
I have both VB-Cable and Voicemeeter Banana drivers
Open your windows control panel->SOUND and you will see those VAC cables listed for both "playback" and "recording" devices.
Its best to use the virtual audio cables to exchange audio between computers.
I have not used "Remote Desktop" in years. I stopped because was wanted the ability to have 2-way audio in one program. So I switched to "Anydesk" (I use the Free version).

Hi Darrin,
Thanks for the reply. I'll give AnyDesk another go.
Ive downloaded VB-Cables, I tried Banana last time and could not get it to work.

Re: Remote Desktop Connection
Hi Darrin,
Thanks again for all the work you do.
I've got AnyDesk to work and have TwoWay Audio and can Remote TX the Flex5000a
I have one slight issue, the Mic Audio gets fed back to my headphones (with a slight delay) Is this NORMAL ??
It takes a bit of getting used to and can be a bit off putting. I dont have MON on.
Thanks again

Re: Remote Desktop Connection
If the MON is off you should not hear during transmit.
(If the MON is ON, then yes you will hear yourself with the lag of the Anydesk system)
So since you say the MON is off, some setting you have is wrong.
in the Windows "Sound" app under Recording tab, make sure the "Listen to this device" is unchecked for all your recording devices (on both your remote and radio computers).
