Flex-3000 PowerSDR Automate Start/Stop

Post by jeepin95 »

I've been trying to get a Flex-3000 working reliably for awhile now and I think I have mostly gotten there. I'm running on a Core i5-10500 CPU with Windows 10. I had been struggling for awhile to get it to work well at all, and finally was able to get a TI 1394 card instead of a VIA card. That seems to have fixed nearly all of my problems. It is detected every time now and seems very steady at least with FT8 and Winlink.

Once or twice a day now though I get the same issue I was having before where the audio will just stop and the panadapter freezes. With the TI card now a simple click of Stop then Start fixes it generally for most of the day (I've been leaving it on spotting 24 hours).

I've searched but not found anything. Is there a way to automate the start/stop via a PowerShell or Python script? And even better, is there a way to detect the frozen panadapter or audio and have that automatically stop and start the radio?

Thanks

When you experience a freeze its due to DPC latency (realtime background tasks) and not related to FireWire.
I already have what your looking for: Setup->General->DttSP Auto Restart
But its best to run a free DPC latency checker and find out what is causing the issue.

Also make sure you do a setup->export database as a backup.
