Flashing START - STOP when changing mode

Post by M0RJV »

To be honest this has been an issue for quite sometime, but whenever I changed mode USB > LSB > 2FM > AM etc .. the START-STOP button flashes and it takes about 10 seconds or so to change mode. It doesn't crash.. just seems to be attempting to change mode and eventually succeeds.

USB > LSB 4x flashes. LSB > USB 14x flashes. AM > USB 11x flashes .. you get the idea.

Each flash is accompanied by a burst of audio.. and the VAC, MOX,TUN and VFO Lock buttons also flash.

It's as if it's attempting to reach a stable state.. fails, trys again and again ..and eventually succeeds.

Interestingly clicking from LSB <> 2FM is instantaneous .. and switching from CWU > CWL throws up a 'Database error reading TxProfile Table' which disappears if I click 'OK' 5x..then changes mode successfully.
...

For anyone else having the same issue.. I have discovered that deselecting 'Remember TX Profile on Mode Change' in Setup>Transmit solves the issue..

Hi:
If you have different profiles for different modes, try to set the BUFFER SIZE parameters the same for all modes. If you use VAC, enabling/disabling VAC in the parameters will also cause the SART/STOP button to flash.

Exactly as Villas says.

Setup->DSP->Options->Buffer Size. I normally keep them all set to 4096 (for the sharpest filter)
Then make sure all your TX profiles have the same buffer sizes set
