I have flex 3000 running on window 10. I have to rebuild the computer and reinstall all my programs. Then the computer run. for a bit 6 month. then I get the blue screen. this only happen when I change Modes with the flex 3000.
It starts off doing one time at first that as time goes it get more and more. I have just uninstall the flex programs and did a new install.
I don't get it. it runs for some time them it starts up. The last time I did a complete rebuild and reinstalled every thing. I only use the computer for radio Programs. thinking that maybe it don't like doing every thing. so I have another computer for other thing then radio.
I don't like window 10. I feel it whats giving me the trouble I try to turn things off of windows that I don't need. It be nice to get a window with out all the BS that comes with it.
Any info or help
thanks Mark

Re: Computer crashing with flex 3000
If its causing Blue screen crash, its related to FireWire and not the install.
I am assuming your running the latest version of PowerSDR?
You can try running the "legacy" FireWire Drivers.
You can check out the procedure under the FireWire section of my website.

Re: Computer crashing with flex 3000
Mark,
Go and download the incremental .308
I added an adjustable delay value setpoint.
you can up the standard delay value and see if it works for you?
I would do this before trying the Legacy drivers.
I just tested a setup using a Flex-3000 on a modern Win11 laptop where I run a standard Via FireWire PCIe card external to the laptop via a M.2 slot in the laptop. It was occasionally giving me a PFN crash BSOD when I closed PowerSDR. I upped the delay value, and its been running perfect for a few days.

Thanks Darrin
I did that and we see how it goes.
I love to Shut all the windows BS off. I think it the trouble maker.

Hi:
No matter what hardware you do or use with WIN11 or WIN10, at some point you will have BSOD. I gave up using these SOs for my i7 dedicated to the FLEX5000, I only use WIN7 which gives me 100% security in use.
